When I lived in the NY Metro area, we used to go to the US Open regularly. The first week was the best as you could walk the grounds and see some great tennis up close. These days, I couldn't tell you any of the names of the top players other than 1 or 2.

In many ways, tennis has become unwatchable. Unlike golf, the people who run the sport have failed to promote the game. I used to really enjoy watching both sides of Wimbledon & the US Open. Not so much anymore. 😕

The women's game is far more interesting than the men's. The people who run men's tennis need to throttle back the power to make the game more watchable.

Jill and I took Teddi to the dog park this morning. She really seems to enjoy running around and exploring her environment. Whippets love to run. She is like a mini greyhound.

You Light Up My Life was the #1 song in the US for something like 10 or 11 weeks in a row in 1976(?). It was an awful piece of music that is almost never played on any respectable 70s station. 😃

As an aside, while Jeff Skilling & others were convicted, Ken Lay died before his appeals were exhausted. This led to his conviction being wiped off the books.

I agree re the 737 Max. I think Boeing was already working under a consent decree from the DOJ. I'm unsure whom at Boeing this rolled up to & could it be proven that senior management signed off on the fraud. Last thing I want to see is a bunch of middle management sent to prison, while execs skate.

Enron was an outright fraud perpetrated on the energy community & consumers. To me, Boeing is a case of a broken culture and mismanagement on a grand scale. It's possible that some at Boeing will face criminal charges, but I don't see these issues as being similar.
