Lastly, here in urban / suburban South Africa, I am yet to visit a place that refused to, or charge for, a glass o f tap water with ice. And the water tastes very good!

Another thought I had whilst visiting the US. Yes, I noticed they are very fast at hand in providing tap water with ice. I suspected that it was to disclaim liability when patrons decide to order food without drink and started choking. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Beards are cool, but they are not for everybody. I'm not sure if this is just a local thing, but more and more I see beards being portrayed as the ULTIMATE expression of masculinity. Beards, braais, bakkies, beer, bikinis.
