Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) was aimed to stimulate economic growth by reducing corporate tax rates and supply tax relief for individuals, at least that was the plan. The corporations disproportionately gained from the tax cuts while the middle-class received modest if any reductions. 🤔

The Royal Poinciana (Delonix regia) is native to Madagascar. Deciduous until late May or early June in So Cal, our tree is now just starting to flower. The flowers are large, with 4 scarlet-orange-red petals up to 3” long, a larger fifth petal called the standard is spotted yellow & white. 🌱

kind of weird, but I wear a balaclava the entire year cycling regardless of temp. On some of the downhill asphalt sections I hit 32+mph, hate the wind blowing in my ears. Today (6:30am) the temperature was 75 during my ride. I pull it down from my mouth & add Vicks on my nose for max oxygen intake.

It kind of looks like the Schwinn Sting-Ray, circa mid-1960s. That classic “banana” seat, it was great for wheelies. All my friends had one, I rode a hand-me-down 10-speed. Super popular in Southern Cal, the Sting-Ray sold for $50 or so. 😀

I broke my foot 2 times in high school & college playing basketball. In the 70’s the only options were wooden crutches. The only boots available in So Cal during this period were cowboy, desert, go-go, combat, knee high and scuba. 🤭

What a beautiful garden/property. I like the mature trees on the perimeter that provide cold & wind protection. Love the groupings (center) of conifers to the left of the shed, the staggered heights give the garden character. Not sure where the neighbor's property starts but pic very special! 😀

Winter hardy (USDA Zones 10-12) where it may be grown in medium moisture, moderately fertile, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. They do well in the Inland Valleys of So California, but I recently heard that gigantea is toxic to the young larvae of Pipevine Swallowtails. Due diligence!

A 61 Elan drophead…that is just brilliant, really...what can one say? I miss the 1974 TR6, it took me almost 3 years to restore and was part of the family for 37 years. My wife & I look forward to buying our next classic roadster, already restored of course. Thanks for sharing the great pics. 😀
