Back in the spring of 2017 I moved from Atlanta to Palm Springs CA. I had already relocated to Palm Springs but maintained my apartment and all my belongings in Atlanta until May 2017. I flew to ATL, packed up everything, got the movers, and was back in PS in 10 days. You can do this!

Timing belts about 60k, chains maybe 90k to 100k? I've heard of them going much longer but also have heard of failures not much more than that. Depends upon how consistent the oil changes and other maintenance.
