Please note, I worked with my dad in paleomagnetics, so yes, I know a fair amount about how magnets work. If water broke magnets, we'd have had a lot less field work since water runs through a lot of ferrous rocks.

I wish they hadn’t used “the good guys” for JVP. Had it been “JVP is a good organization”, I’d be ok. But the way it is makes it sound like JVP are good while other Jews are bad. And historically, this is a slippery slope that has gone awry.

I had a thought this morning as I woke up. What if we had a sort of social program for renters, where they report their rent on tax forms (or the landlords do), and the government puts that amount into a personal house fund that can be used for down payments later?
