ha, you are the 4th person who noticed this connection after our talk, and it's something we completely missed when working on the paper :)
I think it's roughly equivalent to "on-demand" texture-space shading minus caching. Could be interesting to explore this connection more, great idea. :)

In our original 20min slides, we didn't have enough time to explain aliasing from non-linearities properly and why it's more apparent if done before magnification. This was not clear and confused some folks, so we fixed it. Here is a relevant timestamp: youtu.be/e3391_C6aXE?...

After over 2 months break (and moving to a new, own place!), I recorded some rusty DJ set - as always, TECHNO. :)

Recorded a new, mostly improvised, evening DJ set, this time something different - bleepy percussive loop techno.

"How I use ChatGPT daily (scientist/coder perspective)."
I recommend it to anyone working with technology, but especially if you think that LLMs are "useless" and are open-minded to see how they can be helpful, delightful, and playful.

Final two techno tracks I made over the winter break (techno music 🔊🎵🤖🎚️🎛️):
soundcloud.com/elirian/oute... "The Ritual" Cinematic, gothic, industrial techno.
soundcloud.com/elirian/oute... "Eternal Confusion" Glitchy, corrupted, noisy industrial techno driven by breakbeats.
Enjoy! 🔊

I made some new techno music! 🔊🎵🤖
soundcloud.com/elirian/oute... "Melted Core" - broken beat percussive industrial techno with neuro-like bassline.
soundcloud.com/elirian/oute... "Quadrant Gamma" - more straightforward raw/deep techno with acid elements and a groovy bassline.

I recorded a quick and dirty techno DJ set for NYE, mostly new releases. :)
Also, I felt like some more groovy/funky tracks than what I typically do, but still expect industrial heavy-hitters: on.soundcloud.com/9vkSp

A new DJ set I recorded for X-Mas. From industrial and EBM through hypnotic techno and hardgroove ending up with old-school UK hard acid. Enjoy! :)

Two weeks ago, I worked on a remix for Some Records Slam's "Exhibit 1" remix competition:

While it obviously did not win and seems it was not even listened to, I think it bangs, I am proud of it, and I had a ton of fun and learned a lot making it!

I asked ChatGPT a symbolic analysis math question, and it wrote sympy code, executed it in a Python interpreter, and described the answer in plain words - while I could see the code it generated and the explanation. 🤯
(Note: the paid plan is 100x better than the free version. 100% worth it).

I am mind-blown.
You know the 10-minute YouTube "tutorials" where there are 2 minutes of real content scattered, and you need to hunt for it? Super annoying.
Some websites allow you to download YouTube video transcripts. Then, you feed it to ChatGPT and ask it to summarize.
Works really well. 🤯

Funnily, at Google, we had extreme limitations on all possible Camera metrics we collected. People doubt it, but we had a ton of care for anonymization, aggregation, and privacy - probably due to regulations. Impossible to identify a user.
And here, someone stores my biological samples. O_o

Random thought: there is a single "universal" measure of professional success.
Not salary, position, title, fame.
But do people you used to work with want to work with you *again*?
Not recommendations (can be bs), but if they go the extra mile to get you hired, you must be doing something right.

I didn't contribute to the language (awesome work of my colleagues), but I had an opportunity to test drive it and work on some real, practical examples and samples.
Check out how easy to use and almost "drop-in" it is. developer.nvidia.com/blog/differe...

From 135BPM industrial and techno broken beats and noisy percussions, EBM, through fast-paced dark hypnotic and raw groovy sounds, ending at harder 150BPM. Everything dark and dramatic. ;)
