Surprising no one, Bilquis Evely's art for this world is profoundly gorgeous! If that's not enough, Tom King is slowly but surely revealing more and more about the characters and lore as Helen and Barnabus start going on epic adventures.

I love how Stephanie Phillips is playing around with the concept of identity when it comes to Spider-Gwen and how she's still trying to figure out how to settle into 616. The villain she picked for this first arc is a great fit for that theme and I can't wait to see how Gwen beats them.

It was nice seeing Dan get to write Peter and Otto again in Superior Spider-Man, for however short it was. Much like his past Spidey stories, this series was a fun blend of new and old and did a great job tying different threads together to give a satisfying end.

That's understandable. While she does a ton of reprehensible things, they're usually done for the "greater good". It's difficult to look at what she's doing and the power she's playing with here and imagining any good can come from it.

Overall, Superman: House of Brainiac was pretty fun! I enjoyed how Williamson played around with the concept of family with Superman, Brainiac, Lex, and Lobo and how each of them interact with their respective families, while also introducing a few new pieces of lore.

The real star of this issue, though, is Peter's family. I really like how Hickman wrote their reactions to Peter's life as Spider-Man and I love how it didn't fall into the "traps" other reveal stories go through.

Overall, it's another great issue. Kingpin firmly established he's just as much a physical threat as he is an intellectual and sociopolitical one. Seeing Peter and Harry go up against him was tense and exciting.

I FINALLY got around to reading Wonder Woman issue 10! I really liked King's spin on Diana and Barbara's relationship and I also liked the commentary he gave on how Cheetah is Wonder Woman's archenemy.

So I heard Joe Kelly is going to be writing ASM after Zeb Wells. Honestly, I think he's a good choice. I enjoyed some of his Deadpool stuff and Non-Stop Spider-Man and his Hammerhead story during Brand New Day were pretty great! I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with the book.

1. Hamish Linklater sounds amazing as Batman! 2. I'm not 100% sold on Two-Face's design, but Diedrich Bader sounds great as him. 3. I love that we're starting with a Batman that's not on good terms with the police.

This season of Doctor Who was an absolute BANGER and the finale, Empire of Death was excellent 👌 Ncuti Gatwa really got to show his full range in this episode and seeing his Doctor overcome a seemingly impossible threat was epic and emotional. I can't wait to see what else RTD has in store!

Reading this was bittersweet. I can tell Hickman had way more story to tell and I'm sorry to see it end so soon. I hope he or someone else gets to revisit Wyn and tell more stories about him someday.
