A few days later Jon (my manager) mentioned it obliquely without breaking the bond of silence. A week or so later, the chocolate was all gone. I think Jon replaced it with some Snickers and things continued. No one said a word. 3/n

Then another cow-orker Sam returned from holiday and went to change the tapes. She came back and said "What's this thing with the chocolate? It seems like the sort of thing you'd do Howard!" But I coyly replied: "It couldn't possibly have been me... You *know* I don't like peanuts!" 😁 4/n
