The origins of police are kicking indigenous ppl off their land, catching slaves, and squashing labor issues. Modern police have little to no accountability and mostly enforce crimes against poor ppl with special prejudice towards minorities. It’s pure propaganda they were ever a force for good.

That’s right. I keep forgetting that. Police are there to investigate crime, not prevent it or to keep people “safe”. Many departments have really bad records of solving cases, and I hate that they have qualified immunity. It’s disgusting.
