I see these kind of polls and I compare them to the polls in the US where we’re desperately hoping to not lose the Presidency and the Senate and maybe squeak the House back and I dream of a day where the GOP gets obliterated in an election. But I can’t see it happening.
Two main reasons: 1) they’ve rigged the system via gerrymandering and disenfranchisement and all of that to give themselves a massive systemic advantage in many places. 2) We have a lot of fucking idiots who would vote for the GOP on a “we’ll kill you, but we’ll kill the other guy first” platform.
Something that stands out to me about YouGov polls specifically, is I've taken a lot of their polls specifically over the years.
Biased questions really inhibit what you can infer from them. False binaries that aren't called out in the final reported data and that sort of thing.
