Even now, I think a lot of people are sleepwalking their way to the real worst time that might be happening in less than a year - like waiting on a biopsy that looks bad vaguely in denial.

The thing that I think is going to be hardest for some if that comes to pass is watching people "turn" who you wouldn't expect. Everyone is so used to Trump being a hated figure that I don't know if people have internalized what happens to public sentiment when authoritarians can close their fist.
