Heartbreaking that "74.1% of Indians cannot afford a healthy diet due to stagnant income levels" despite high grain yields. We need to orient towards new metrics of success in agricultural science.

The balance is out in food profuction. We should produce less abd vslue it more. 1/3 of food is wasted and a huge portion is only fed to animals to produce cheap meat. Aninals are pretty inefficient in turning produce into meat. We'd be better off eating it directly.
