Team pineapple! But seriously, I don't get why pineapple in your typical Chinese resto sweet-and-sour pork is fine, but not on pizza. Is there a perceived exoticism?

If you really want to appall the pizza gatekeepers, I recommend Panago's Veggie Korma: coconut curry sauce, baby spinach leaves, green peppers, pineapple, hot banana peppers, mozzarella and cheddar. *chef's kiss*

Pineapple with pizza or sweet and sour pork is an abomination. My otherwise darling wife is deeply mistaken on this, as she is on her loathing for onions with both pizza and sweet and sour pork. So far, we have maintained a fragile 29-year ceasefire and prisoner exchange. Will update.

Gatekeeping food is weird. Eat stuff however you like it. You're the only one tasting it.

For me it’s the cheese. And I generally like fruit and cheese together! But pineapple with cheese doesn’t do it for me (and i don’t eat pork).

I think fresh pineapple and a good salty-ass ham go perfectly together.
