Names are really important in his books, nearly all his books ( though I’ve not read them all) includes a scene where a character’s name is either changed, revealed or commented upon.

Elmore Leonard was a supremely *efficient* writer. There is literally NO waste in his prose. If a detail is noted, it is for a reason.
