Sorry gamers, all the games are done. We’re just stuck in the death spiral now. There will be no more good games because all the people who make them are broken husks from being forced to move every year, not being paid a living wage, and not being trusted to do the thing they were hired to do.

Oh my god I feel this so much. Was in game-dev, got married, had a kid, bought a house, got laid off; oh I have to move? guess I'm not in game-dev anymore.

Well, I guess that explains why we’re never getting Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. I’ll just replay the first two games and Awakening. But not Inquisition, the dialogue options had all of the personality of plywood.

It's astounding that the dolts making decisions don't realize that it's not just individual skills but rather the coordination and collaboration of an experienced team that makes it possible to do hard work well. You can't just toss everyone around and expect the same results.

It's like the game crash of 1983, but instead of a bunch of tiny companies churning out crap games, it's just a bunch of bean counters at the top of big monopolies killing people's livelihoods to make the stock price go up, even though they're making some of the best stuff ever. I'm so tired.
