I’m inclined to say “exactly,” despite my lack of real familiarity with Iranian politics and exactly how our puppet the Shah came to power. (Im nor familiar with our western hemisphere escapades, er atrocities, ummmm crimes!)

The Persian Famine of 1942-43 was not exactly a triumph of American respect for other cultures either, but I can't blame conservatives for that one. Well, not American ones anyway. There's always Stalin and Churchill to share the blame there.
