Two top candidates dropped out 24 hours before super Tuesday 2020 who both had more votes than Biden. Also the only other progressive than Bernie stayed in. Sure, no railroading lmao

There was the Warren / buttigieg dropout that effectively stopped splitting the "normie" dem vote in 2020 and blocked Bernie from winning the nom with like 30% of the vote, but I agree with you that that isn't a railroad as much as it is just political maneuvering

Every name I've seen thrown out saw the lay of the political landscape and decided it was best not to put themselves forward for the primary. The other options in question didn't even pick themselves for this year.

they we’re picking the other options until all the other options dropped out and consolidated support around biden instead of bernie including all the candidates who were deeply critical of biden in the debates etc.
