Gretchen Whitmer is probably the safe AIPAC choice, but in order to win MI, PA, etc. they need to rally the black voters, which Hillary failed to do in 2016.

There's some important context missing here. This alleged call was claimed by a rival of Whitmer. "Political bladework" is a polite way of calling it ratfucking.
