The political issue aside - after having experienced Netrebko in various roles in Vienna, Salzburg and London over the years, not hearing her anymore is no loss. Whatever remains of her overrated voice is average at best; when I last saw her in Macbeth at the ROH I didn’t want to stay for Act 2.
