A child was beaten in a bathroom and then the school refused to get them medical attention due to the child's gender identity. A state institution refused aid to A CHILD. We should all be exceedingly, unrelentingly furious.

That they decided to punish the victim rather than render aid is so utterly infuriating to me. It's routine practice in many schools to punish victims of abuse, victims who the school has already failed to protect. It's such a cruel practice. I'm glad that Nex had family who loved them.

As terrible as the school is for allowing a culture where the child got beaten to death. If they were released from the hospital later that day, I don’t think you can accuse the school of refusing to call an ambulance due to their identity. Please don’t exaggerate things. It doesn’t help our cause.
