But there are shows that run long. Blue bloods has 21 episodes. I still think those shows that have some how been running for 10 seasons on NBC still work that way.

That’s true but I guarantee you the people I’d talk to would probably not watch Blue Bloods or even have heard of it. Shows like that get buried in cable channels here.
