I'm pretty sure McDonalds funds the GoP, Israel, and participates in union busting efforts, and does protect franchise owners who are racist if they think it protects their profit margins. McDonalds sucks, they just don't suck more than any other Fast Food chain. Rowling does extra-suck.

To my knowledge, at least a few of those were faked, but yeah massive corporations are pretty evil by nature too. The difference is that fast food provides something needed to live in some situations, there's no need fulfilled by a product that is itself the harm.
