incredibly infuriating in that you know these people get all offended when Americans have opinions on *their* politics

The opinion I’ve heard the most from Americans about Canadian politics is “I can’t believe you still have a monarchy.”

Even when living in Montreal and majoring in political science and thinking I was going to remain there, folks would be infuriated I'd have opinions about Canadian politics (as Iraq and Afghanistan were going on). Anyways, Alberta would definitely explain a bit.

Also I am shocked when I hear American opinions on Canada. Often we are just not considered or thought about. It's nice to be noticed? :P

That whole idea isn't even a two way street. It's a roundabout. Everyone talks about everyone's politics/food/sports etc etc etc. I blocked an American libertarian here for bitching about Canada not representing the will of the people enough with our districts (ridings). We all do it.
