Honestly I always thought it was wild and just proof of how deeply ableist most transphobes are that they think being autistic makes you easy to deceive. Like trying to get neurodivergent folks to adhere to some arbitrary social rules you made up for evil™️ reasons is like trying to herd cats lol.

Like one of the "disability" aspects of autism is unwritten social rules just don't make sense to them. Anyone with a passing understanding of autism would conclude the higher instances of gender binary breakage would be a direct result of that binary being made up mostly of unwritten social rules.
