Cities who use bags probably have a lot of rats. Ontario Premier Doug Ford just nixed deposit-return on non alcohol containers, citing it as "too expensive" to implement. Yet he somehow managed to find $1B to get beer into corner stores. Sometimes, you can't win.

The change in our waste system Miller brought in increased our rat population apparently. The pest control people told me it was the recycling (which mostly goes to landfill anyway), which surprised me. The mouse population exploded in residential areas after the pandemic lockdowns. Ford is idiotic.
