Remembering my Dad who passed in 2015
Warrior's Rest
gallant warrior, lay down your shield
surrender arms and battle cries
the fighting now has ended.
the war is lost yet freedom won
lie down in blooming fields
find your peace beyond the night
as we must find our healing.

It’ll be nine years in October and I still have nightmares and flashbacks to his illnesses/time in ICU/hospice. I wish his passing had been peaceful 💔Will never get over it. I’m still trying to find healing.
