#OTD 5 July 1946 Micheline Bernardini models the first modern bikini at a swimming pool in Paris. Designer Louis Réard's named the swimsuit the bikini because four days earlier the US tested a nuclear weapon at the Bikini Atoll & he wanted to grab headlines.
