If someone were to pitch fireworks as a new thing today, people would absolutely say"no, what the fuck is wrong with you, you can't just let random civilians launch explosives into the sky in residential areas." And yet, here we are.

New Jersey only made them legal recently and I really wish they hadn't. Its not like there arent plenty of shows run by PROFESSIONALS with fire stations present around! The fireworks are better there too! We got on fine without being allowed to shoot rockets in our yard.

Fireworks are now basically an all summer long thing, but tonight my home will feel like I'm sitting inside a war zone because the my neighbors gather and let off definitely illegally sized fireworks less than 20 feet from our front door. I wish I was joking.
