SF Bay Area. Plentiful fast chargers are recent change within the timespan of the Biden administration. Jack and shit availability prior to 2016. Current rate of EV adoption even in the poorer neighborhood where I live is high enough such that charger *availability* near home is a problem.
There's a regional gas station chain that's been putting in Tesla chargers in their new locations or redoing their parking lots to include them. Partially because my city has 7 of these stations, within 5-10 minutes of my house are more Tesla chargers than I see Teslas in a year.
