I don’t blame this on Biden so much as the left’s inability to put practicality over purity. I look at the housing debate in SF as an example. Perfect is the enemy of good and we’re seeing that play out in real time at the national level here.

I think the reason I blame Biden here is that it was fairly clear he was already losing steps before he took office and even indicated he’d maybe be a one-term guy - a “transitional” figure as he put it. He held on and just doesn’t have the juice - and imo he bears the blame for not stepping aside

I’m not saying give up core principles, but political groups need to think about actions based on their *results* not on their *ideals*. The lack of “perfect” housing projects hasn’t helped the poor in SF. Instead it has blocked affordable units. At the national stage, it may mean King Trump.
