I'm grateful that this farm is being honest about the science. As some of us have long argued, soil carbon saturates, while ruminant emissions continue, ensuring that ranches cannot go carbon neutral.

I think it is a pitty how media is making it look like all farming is bad rather then showing people the way they chose to devide. So many want to do right but got stuck in the wheels of upscaling bs.

a 'beacon of hope' that primarily uses a grass requiring 'Always ensure an autumn knock-down is used prior to sowing (post the season break). It is recommended that a systemic fungicide and insecticide seed treatment1 is used for improved pest tolerance, vigour and stress tolerance.' Sounds awful.

That article gets the carbon current and capital accounts the wrong way round. Current refers to daily, operational production. Capital refers to the carbon opportunity costs of not having the wild ecosystem, minus the costs of producing protein by alternative means.
