When my eldest studied Marine Science and Oceanography, she overlapped a module with Surf Technology Students. Basically a degree in surfing. (That was back in 2005.)

I was just surprised given the recent Tory rhetoric about “low quality” degrees being shut down. As an ex educator I support anything that gets people to research, think and expand their mind. Higher education should never just be to satisfy the demands of employers or ideology.
