My dad will be 84 in a few weeks. He does not speak in violent terms. He does not watch violent entertainment. He once got extremely mad at the rest of the family after we dragged him to see The Professional. His favorite show is Midsomer Murder. Like, I can't overstate this. 1/

I know this is beside the point but he's 30 years my senior and I recently finished watching 22 seasons of Midsomer Murders. Debating getting Acorn TV to watch 23-24. It's a great show to watch to just relax and escape for a bit. Something tells me I may need to start from the beginning again soon.

The man was a CPA and a bankruptcy analyst, for fuck's sake. He once owned a store that sold upscale bathroom accessories. Tonight I was having dinner with him and he said out of nowhere "That Supreme Court oughta be taken out and shot at sunrise."
