Are there other medical conditions that people just absolutely refused to believe in because of religion? I guess it took a while for germ theory to catch on but this isn’t the dark ages.

I'd wager that the list of things fundamentalist Christians have refused to believe are real things include every single mental disorder and a large portion of physical illnesses.

Unfortunately, yes. Off the top of my head, I know Jehovahs Witness still won’t accept blood transfusions.
