Pop trans politics defines transfeminine people as "AMAB who identify as women/women-like inside" but this provides no picture of everything that comes with being that kind of person, across the world and across generations, against great effort to destroy us.

Transness is not merely a device for self-description. We're a varied, unique part of the human species with our own legacy of tradition, hardship, and spirit. We need protection, support, and destigmatization—not to be reduced to an abstraction or a personal style.
