Something that wore me out quickly about leftism is the attitude that anger and hate are uniquely progressive or revolutionary emotions, and that there’s something centrist and regressive about love, joy, and empathy.

The conflation of sensitivity and kindness with civility politics or tone policing, and the narrative that irritability is the sign of the truly oppressed. This is, among other things, a harmful politicization of personality.
