No one wants to do the hard work of running for local office and building a political party with clout. They all want a magic wand to "fix" it.

This is more to my point: we already have a political party with powers to respond—we should be using it better. We don’t need to build a new party from scratch. The collective power does scale with Dem representation, which is correct in the conclusion to have more Dems locally.
