I think those age ranges are a little off. I'm 45 and Phantom Menace came out when I was at university. It was such a profound disappointment, and I think that's what everyone in my cohort feels as well. People in their 40s and 50s grew up with the originals.

This is also me (45). My formative years with Star Wars was tied to the original films and the AU novels. I can still remember the Argos catalogue having a bunch of Return of the Jedi tie in toys. The prequels came at the perfect time to badly disappoint me.
