That is to say, instead of removing him from the ballot (an enforcement action), they should simply reject it when he tries, and say that the Constitution rendered him ineligible and they can’t let him on the ballot. They can’t stop the GOP from nominating him, but once he is, they can say no.

If SCOTUS is going to skip the plain text of the 14th Amendment, let’s make them say it with their chest, hmm? Refusing an ineligible candidate ballot space is not an enforcement action. The Imperial Court can argue for his eligibility.
