This is one of my favourite words. I have used it for years. Sadly, it has not experienced any resurgence due to my efforts.

I knew this one when I was very young because it was used in some of the package art of local bagel company Beau Bagels. They had an anthropomorphic bagel wearing a suit (drawn by Robert Crumb!) saying "Salubrious!" and the tag line "Eat 'em every day".
