They are adorable from a distance, if a bit quarrelsome and smelly. In flight i think they're at their most elegant, with slow, relaxed wingbeats and graceful turns. They look like they're swimming through the air.

I love them, but yes, they can be stinky. I’ve almost always lived places where they’re around, often in huge numbers and I find it quite comforting watching them fly around of an evening
