Ok but how the hell are you supposed to fix a hole in a bucket with straw?

Hank, your co asked me to design a pin for your YouTube show about animals, and i was SO excited. Until i was told you refused to copyright credit artists on their work, and would only mention them in the show descrip. I fight for my art in court all the time. Please reconsider how you treat artists

Doesn't it start with a stick? You fix it by plugging it with a piece of wood, as far as I can remember.

So wooden buckets may have relied on wood expanding with water to stay water tight, so maybe the hole is just a gap between wood pieces that could be filled with straw? I dunno. I didn't look it up.

Use a straw longer than the rim and make sure it seals the hole.

this has always bothered me. allegedly u can do it for a wooden bucket the way you'd kinda mend a gap in a hardware floor w/ a wood shim. personally i am unconvinced

Insert the straw into the hole, ensuring a good seal on the exterior of the straw. Then bend the straw backwards on itself like a kink in a garden hose.

Straw and the bucket are both made of the same sorts of elements, so first you'll need a high-pressure/temperature environment like the Earth's core-mantle boundary. Then you'll want some sort of sealed container, preferably [1/546]
