Either he will withdraw (which seemed unlikely right after the debate, and has seemed more and more unlikely as time goes on), or he won't. Us randos have nothing to say about this. As before, that's not because THE FIX IS IN!!!, but because the primaries are over.
We then need to decide whether to support a guy who might or might not be in good shape in the evening, but who is basically decent and has decent staff, or a narcissist who will cheerfully tear down what remains of our Republic, using the brand new immunity SCOTUS just gave him.
This idea that debates are bauty contests and the determine the winner of the election are so backwards. I understand the impact but the debate itself should not be a contest. It's an opportunity to inform.
But our shitty media have only game to play.
Even IF there were some magical new Dem who could appear out of the mist and collect ALL the Dem votes despite doing an end-run around the entire primary system through which we choose our candidates
What keeps the GOP from suddenly discovering a deep interest in the sanctity of the primary system?
