I've been complaining about automation for years & AI is becoming just as much part of the problem. A big reason why we need a universal income. There will be very few jobs left for us soon. Tax the technology and allow the people to stay out of poverty. This from twitter 6yrs ago

By the way, since I posted that, our local asda has gone from 6 self service tills, to 25 and only 4 checkouts manned by actual staff, of which, only a max of 2 are open, even at peak times.
