I love how slaying a dragon is such a classic fantasy trope but FromSoft always manages to make it feel so unique
Bayle isnt just a dragon, hes THE dragon. The one who likely destroyed Faram Azula. He sits upon a literal mountain of bodies of the humans and dragons who tried and failed to kill him
He's missing a leg and wearing on his neck the trophy of his fight against the other greatest dragon in existence, he's a literal behemoth, fat and tough and scary, and coupled with Igon's monologue during the fight he FEELS so much larger than anything in life could ever be.
He's so fucking cool
Then you have Igon. This poor, broken man who seems to only still be alive out of pure spite and rage at Bayle. Throwing everything he has again and again at this seemingly impossible goal.
I love it. Its such a great little narrative for the whole area
