I’ll definitely get to it eventually but it is just such a strange choice. Reminds me of late-stage MCU, as they’re trying to be like, “Enjoy this movie, but you have to watch three other movies and a tv show to really enjoy it,” and people broadly don’t really like that all that much.

I get that. I'm less bothered in general, and I think that comes from being a long term superhero comic reader, where stories overlap with other books and are affected by events in other ones all the time, so my level of tolerance lets me role with it a little more I think
