An actually likely conclusion, based in the massive decline in viewership for that debate, is that none of this matters and zombie Biden wins a low-turnout, low-enthusiasm election with just a slightly different EC outcome than last time around.

yeah, i see no way on earth does donald trump receive more votes in 2024 than he did in 2020 so dems just need to give fewer reasons to stay home than trump is.

Everyone hates both of these guys and hates this choice but the new Dem coalition/constituency probably has a better chance if a lotta occasional voters stay home because, Jesus, who wouldn't?
