Yeah, I understated the effect of living in a bigger city (college town then tourist mecca flattened any accent I'd have), but I can hear the difference between the accents of my maternal Panhandle and my paternal peninsular relatives.

My map does pretty accurately capture the Florida part! Even though it pegs the wrong cities; living in California for more than half my life means I answer the freeway/highway question the "wrong" (Californian) way.
