On my most recent computer build I almost left the cd component out entirely but I have a bunch of old games that aren’t available on digital so I found one. If not for that, I wouldn’t have bothered tho.

I'm old enough to have had the same issue, but luckily I was able to install Doom 2 with 10 floppy disks.

If need arose you can get pretty cheap USB optical drives off Amazon or whatever
