I’m really confused by this. I don’t buy the premise at all—no chance the Trump team wants a debate. Are they just *representing* that they want one for a while, until they inevitably back out?

This snippet seems like another double-manipulation of the press. OTOH, anonymous source claims to have manipulated the other campaign; OTOH, source actually has manipulated the press into making source’s team look smarter than they are.
